Omnia, the Joint Authority of Education in Espoo Region contacted EVM Project Management Experts S.L. to study the possibility of presenting a joint proposal with other vocational education providers to present a project under the Leonardo da Vinci – Partnerships (Lifelong Learning Programme) call for proposals.
This project was born out of the desire to further exploit the “Creativity and Innovation in Craftsmanship and the Arts” taken place in Espoo, Finland, 9-12 October, 2012. The project provides trainees with descriptions, video tutorials, and other training sources to initiate them on different European jewellery-making styles using materials such as silver, crystal, pearls, wood, plastic mass, and recycled materials.
A network between the project participants and other stakeholders will establish an international platform for the exchange of experiences and good practices in the field of jewellery.
The target groups cover vocational training students, women over 50, unemployed, and representatives from the world of work. The final products will be collected and recorded under an international e-album that will gather all the pieces of jeweller made by the project students.
The project also implies the first step towards implementing the ECVET system at a European level, for an ECVET unit will be created as one of the project activities so as to get partners going in this new European credit transfer system.
