Mr. Tavío holds a Law degree from the University of Salamanca, an ICT Law Master from the Complutense University of Madrid (Graduated with Honours) and a Diploma in e-Business Management from the Complutense University of Madrid.
He has developed his professional career in the field of business consulting and public funding, working for more than 7 years for the market leader in Spain, Econet, a member of the European leading group PNO Consultants, where he rise to hold the position of Team Leader and Key account Manager in the Information Society Area, with Microsoft, Hp, Telefónica, BBVA, IBM, Vodafone….
Since February 2009 he joined EVM as a partner with responsibilities in the Public Funding Programs Area, managing European Projects and in in charge of the Business Development, with the following responsibilities:
-Advice and support to optimise all processes related to the design, preparation and management of projects, facilitating participation in the different European, international, national and regional funding programmes.
-Design and implementation of strategic plans for European, international, national and regional financing,
-Identifying opportunities, needs and generating ideas,
-Design, preparation, processing and management of projects,
-Advice on European, international, national and regional programmes and funding lines,
-Establishment of networks and collaborations for participation in European, international, national and regional projects, including the search for partners,
-Training in project management.
He has participated in the Management of proposals for more than 25 different calls since the beginning of his career. Achievement of 15 projects approved for clients during the period 2014-2020 (to date), including COSME, FP – FIWARE PPP, LLP Leonardo Da Vinci, LLP Multilaterlal Projects, Erasmus + Strategic Partnerships, Erasmus + Capacity Building… He is an evaluator and external expert of the European Programme EUROSTARS. Technical experts are responsible for evaluating project applications submitted under the Eurostars Programme.
He is also founder and director of the following companies, through the venture capital firm Utopia Venture Partners: eCivilis (e-government), Buong TV Spain (audiovisual and intenet) and Isometric (social media).
He has attended as a student and as a teacher / presenter at numerous courses and seminars related to law, entrepreneurship, ICT, Research, Development and Innovation, social networks and project management. He has taught at the Pontifical University of Comillas, ICADE (Advanced Course Management of Business Associations), at the University of La Laguna as visiting professor at the Faculties of Law and Economic and Business Studies, and the Spanish Association of Community Managers and Social Media Professionals -AERCO-, for which has been Territorial Representative in the province of Tenerife.
He is a member of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Bar Association and a member of the European Alliance for Innovation.
Co-author of scientific papers and regular contributor to different written media, both online and offline (La Opinión de Tenerife, Creativa Canarias…) in which he reflects on current issues in various legal, technological and economic matters. It has also had specific collaborations with other reference media at national level, such as El País (supplement of economy), Microsoft Business and Professional Center (Web), Ser Empresario Magazine, Ideas y Negocios Magazine, Entrepreneurial Magazine…
